I suggest you don’t empower them with more attention. Simply observe what’s happening and be curious about it. This will instantly separate “you” from the thoughts and emotions and help you to let them go.

When that phase passed I was just sitting in my room studying when my sister was listening to some song where it mentioned the devil. I started to think about all those movies I’ve watched, from all the exorcism movies to the paranormal movies and so on. I’ve watched them all because I loved watching horror movies! God knows why. So I started thinking these intense thoughts how that could happen to me, how all those movies were based on a true story, etc.

I have high anxiety and I hate being alone

“I don’t know what’s happening to me. I was fine until maybe 2 months ago one morning — I was making a pizza and out of nowhere I had a big panic attack. I felt unreal and started thinking about death and how unreal everything is.

And from that day on, I think about those things and I get a warm feeling on my stomach. And i get scared and that’s how I’ve been feeling for the past 2 months. I’m tired and angry — I just want to be like I was before but I don’t know how, and also I am kinda scared of going to sleep.”
