How to Talk to People
You worry about how to talk to people — what you will say, how they will react and so on…
Let go of this as a problem. Stop worrying about it, stop thinking about it. When someone is talking, simply listen. Give them all your attention. The right words will come if you stay relaxed and don’t become tense.
If you think of this as a problem you’ll automatically become tense and then you can’t be spontaneous.
It’s all about awareness — of what they are saying, of what you are feeling as a result, of how you are reacting. Awareness alone changes things…

Is Desire Good?

“I wanted to ask you about desire — from wanting to watch television right now to being successful in my career. In the past you have said ‘You are in the game, so play.’ I have heard many people say you should give up desire itself.
But if I give up desire, how will I progress my career and live my day to day life? How will I do anything except earn money, eat and sleep? Because there will be no sense of direction, no goal and no passion. So is desire good? Please guide me…”
Yes, it’s a problem because if you give up desire, you cannot achieve anything and yet you are here to play.
If you follow the Habit Guide way, you can use good habits to maintain your body, life and goals. You must give attention to these things or bad things happen (undesirable things :-)
But simply see that no-thing can cover a lack of SELF. Then indeed it IS play. Otherwise all will seem unsatisfactory, with only HOPE of fulfillment in the FUTURE — and then you’ll try to cover a lack of SELF with goals and things — possessions.
The problem is in the false idea that things and roles can give you some sort of identity. Things and roles can cover up a sense of lack (feeling lost) for a little while and THAT is a big problem because they only do it temporarily… Read more

Try to see things from their point of view — why are they saying what they’re saying?
What are their fears, intentions?
Try to understand them as much as possible and then you will be able to communicate your view and guide situations in a better way…
