This is such a common problem for everyone and especially moms or dads preparing food for the whole family.
You get home from work, you’re tired, the kids are screaming for food and all you want to do is relax. You look in the fridge and find a limp piece of celery and an out-of-date chicken leg. This all-too-common scenario is a perfect recipe for a hunt for the take-out (take-away) menu.
Been there, done that — many, many times.
But if this happens too often, you put your health and the health of your family at risk. In fact, I recently read that Los Angeles, California, has BANNED fast food restaurants to try to get on top of the obesity crisis.
If you think about it, take-outs solve all the immediate problems. We need food, we need it fast, it’s convenient, it saves time, it’s cheap, it’s tasty. But there’s just one problem;
Take-outs are generally TERRIBLE for your health and that means, in time, you’re going to start feeling bad, looking bad and you’ll be more likely to get sick.
To be healthy and happy, you have to eat well… day-in-day out and the oh-so-simple solution to the problem is to create a structure for your diet that you repeat everyday.
Ok, ok hands up. This is MY best health tip. And the reason it’s the best is because of the enormous benefits of having a solid structure to your diet. I won’t go into all these benefits here because I did that already.
Well, “create a structure” is my biggest and best tip! It solves the practical problems of getting consistently good nutrition. And it can be used whether you want to overcome ill-health, lose weight, gain muscle, eat well for pregnancy or simply just be happy and healthy.
It’s about getting all your nutritional needs and goals into a simple daily plan. The structure is a basic framework to follow every day. It’s about getting the right balance of natural healthy food and eating it. It’s that simple and the pay-offs are massive . . .
As you’d expect, the diet in Habit Guide is based around this simple principle and solves all those problems. It’s solves all the same problems that getting a take-out solves but crucially, it’s also healthy for you. Over time, it’s not going to leave you looking bad and feeling bad but just the opposite.
Whether you’re trying to lose weight, gain weight, eat well for pregnancy or simply look and feel the best you can, your diet should be like shelling peas — a no-brainer.
The Habit Guide diet advice is not all about telling you what to eat — although it gives you a super healthy and simple diet plan if you want it. That’s because we all have different preferences, ethics and beliefs around food. No, It’s mainly about showing you how you can make your diet choices into a no-brainer and do it in a healthy way. The methods can be applied to any diet.
If you’re like me, you’ll go ultra simple. If you’re into preparing complex recipes, fine. The principles are the same.
But without that solid structure, most people’s diets will drift into high fat and low fruit and vegetables. With a structure, good nutrition is consistently taken care of.
Without a structure, you’re going to be hungry at dinner time with a void of ideas on what to eat. With a structure, you simply get some good natural whole food out of the fridge and prepare it, the same way you did yesterday, and the day before that.
Complex recipes are really a nightmare if you want to prepare meals from scratch. Apart from being too time consuming to actually prepare, they also take up extra time in special shopping and planning and also end up with waste of ingredients you only ever use one and end up in the cupboards for years before finally being thrown away.
Recipes are fine for one off special occasions and just for the joy of doing it but everyday? I believe that for everyday, food should be put into its rightful place as “fuel” and “good nutrition” and be very simple to make.
To really benefit from healthy nutrition every single day of your life, you’ve just got to keep it simple. There’s just no way to have fancy food every night and stay healthy without making it into a full-time job.
So, keep it simple, eat proper food, get healthy and do it day after day without thinking. Doesn’t that really solve the problems of how to get good nutrition in a practical way?
I hurt for 13 years. It was hell... torture... feeling very bad for a very long time. And that had a devastating effect on every aspect of my life.
With the little energy and focus I had, I hunted for answers. In fact I spent twenty YEARS trawling for answers. You can just imagine the trying, and stumbling, the desperation and frustration...
But now I've seen BOTH extremes of life... from wanting to die every day to the joy of health and happiness. The truth is that all my suffering drives me with a passion to help you not to suffer. Why I can't say, because it's just there, in me.
So don't make the same mistakes I did. Life is too short... I want you to feel good without falling into the pitfalls. I have this knowledge now and I would love you to have it.
It's all laid out for you in a simple step-by-step guide...
