    I couldn’t agree more! So often we view a forthcoming (positive) lifestyle change as a never-ending negative thing, (ie ‘my life will be rubbish with no cigarettes or chocolate or having to do some exercise!!’ or whatever.)

    The trick is to wait until you are in the right frame of mind with as little distraction as possible, make the change, and often a week later you wonder why you made such a fuss at the start. And then like you said you can forget about it and focus on more important or interesting stuff.

    I used to think I would be miserable without my daily chocolate fix but after a few days it suddenly dawned on me that I didn’t even miss it.

    However, although I’m now off the cigarettes, alcohol (except post-marathon) and chocolate, I just need to curb my Polos obsession……!)

    My mantra for this week-
    Polos make my breath smell great but future dental bills I’ll hate!!!!
