What Buddha Said About Habits

Here’s what the Buddha had to say about habits…

“If you do what is evil, do not repeat it or take pleasure in making it a habit. An evil habit will cause nothing but suffering.

If you do what is good, keep repeating it and take pleasure in making it a habit. A good habit will cause nothing but joy.”

—Buddha. The Dhammapada, 117-118

So, Buddha clearly understood that habits are at the root of good or bad outcomes because each habit multiplies its effect thousands of times over…

Habits are to life force what veins and arteries are to blood. Life flows through our habits so easily!

So good habits really are the key to a happy life…

All the best,
